@TundeAdejumo9 If a firm pays for a year, are you bound to the firm for that year? Is the firm entitled to a refund if you resign? As the Court said, it can only be included in your employment contract, to bind the firm.

@TundeAdejumo9 I agree with the Court. What qualifies you to work in a firm & earn a living there is being called to bar and being eligible to practice in Nigeria, yearly, by paying your BPF. It's not the duty of a firm to perpetuate your qualification.

@tosinolaseinde Growing up in Ilorin, when you hired a house help (usually a teenage or pre-teen girl) the parent or guardian would collect her salary. The understanding was that when she is done the money would eiher be used to pay her way through skill acquisition or buy her wedding items.

@peng_writer Went to Lag with my uncle in 09. Arrived home in Ojodu late. We slept 11pm. I was awoken at abt 3.30am by what i thought was intruders, maybe thieves. So I ran to wake others in d house. We checked. Just neighbours washing cars, turning on gen & getting ready 4 d day. At 3.30am!

@JJExclusive1 I experienced this in Abj. 1st Dr came & tried to impress on me hw I had to go in for surgery. I went home got ready, returned for my surgery, but this Dr had gone home. Another specialist came, checked me, prescribed drugs worth 150 Naira, I got well. 7 yrs ago.

@SirJarus I lost a client years ago. In my legal advice to him I referred to a clause in his agreement with his biz partner and said something like 'it can't be said that you're illiterate or don't understand English.'
