@YangoKalamaris@yankeedraft@grok Not only a sexual characteristic, they use them quite well for eating things like bamboo. And also protection. Dont wanna get bit by those.
@SaddamFielding@yankeedraft@grok They are actually strict herbivores. Their biology is set up for fermentation. They have been observed eating meat, but the majority of their energy comes from plants.
@Decor2108@yankeedraft@grok Gorillas are herbivores, their body produces energy through colonic fermentation. Their teeth are mainly for display and protection/fighting but also help with eating dense plants like bamboo.
@yankeedraft@grok While human mouths differ wildly, the overall shape and function remains, we are true omnivores, able to both eat and metabolize meat, plants, fruits, nuts and fungi. Your diet is your choice, but it hasn't always been that way. Be happy you can choose your diet.
@YataGlasswerk@StatisticUrban Agreed. No one outside Maine understands either candidate really. Its frustrating to see all the out of towners pulling numbers out of their ass for both candidates.
@KivvyCat Marine Flamethrower operators experienced an astounding 90% casualty rate on Iwo Jima. Heavy, slow, vulnerable and valuable targets. The effectiveness of those m2s were not to be laughed at though.
@YungTacoTuesday@KivvyCat Fire weapons are in fact incredibly effective, however the means of delivery was not. Now most nations instead use air dropped napalm, some form of WP or thermobaric munitions.
@the_wild_jin@KivvyCat 99.9% of the time no. They were heavy support weapons, which made them a rather slow very valuable target. Especially if you are in a bunker or trench.
@CleanObser85406@Throwaw62791677 When were you in? Ive seen a lot of suppress and move actions recently. The civilian aspect seems to have been heavily diminished.
@jesseyjay94@EricLDaugh Many of the vehicles are not equipped with weapons with the exception of one mrap with a gpmg and one with an m2, they augmented the parade with decades old mothballed m113s and m117s and the Mi-8s are not American. The rear most formation of HMMWVs are equipped with ZU-23-2s.
