Not surprised and not disappointed. Sorry but this Isint the reason Hax couldn't get unbanned, if anything I would say the polarizing politics the MM side introduces is a part of the problem but how our scene has chosen to deal with that has also become a problem in its own right. On one side you have people who may actually be seeking redemption, but the vocal majority of who they surround themselves with simply can't keep their mouths shut when it comes to dogging on minority groups. On the other side you have people who are tired of having their trust taken advantage of and struggle to publicly offer assistance to people who literally can't help themselves from hating on minorities. Why would hbox throw himself under the bus and allow mediation to be created on his behalf when the other side has shown little to no effort in bettering what got them banned in the first place? I brought up luigigoshard before and I'm bringing him up again because AT LEAST he went out of his way to create both a very long write up AND video apology (that mostly went ignored which is also a big part of what I have a problem with). I think there likely exist more players like goshard, but their voices are going to be stifled by the vocal majority that CANT STOP BEING OPENLY RACIST AND HATEFUL. Like some people on the MM side sincerely believe the group chat people that fucked with Hax are innocent??? Like. no. Fuck no. Not accepting that. I am never going to accept that. Make them at least fucking apologize. How can you expect any accountability from the smash community when you can't even reap what you sow?
