@CFLAttendance Would you have east, west and total for the last 10 years? What’s the trend prior to last year? Assume it would be improving given the newer stadiums
@OverDrive1050@HayesTSN contenders like the oilers don’t have to get better to win a cup but instead try and avoid regression as top teams age & lose top players to contracts. McDavid is banking that ‘25 oilers team in ‘26 may be enough. They need his cap$ to keep team together.
@SportsnetBen Isn’t it because the success of their ticket pricing has always been based on limited supply? Recurring games at larger venues puts this at risk which is the issue the Habs ran into after their move from the Forum to 20k+ Bell Centre. I think it’s why Scotiabank is only 18k seats
@winter_canada@MikePMoffatt Builders know this so they’re not going to build housing that can’t sell at the current mkt prices on limited land supply. And they certainly aren’t going to race to build housing at 20-30% reductions which is probably what’s needed.
@winter_canada@MikePMoffatt I suspect because the current pricing levels are actually not sustainable without promoting foreign buyers and/ or an environment favourable to the investor class. Those two things skewed the housing mkt the past decade. We’re actually not London/NY. Builders know the math.
@winter_canada@MikePMoffatt And available supply is mismatched to the needs of local buyers. We overbuilt condos based on policies of past decade & now that we tightened up we discovered local buyers actually don’t want a 500 sqft condo in the core. But can’t afford 1-1.2m for a small home in burbs either.
@globeandmail Honest question, if supply is the issue why are all these 500-800 sq ft condos not selling in the core of the city where there is great transit and infrastructure ? Are these proposed sixplexes offering something else?
@StephanieKelton Isn’t this just a desperate attempt to appease his base in states decimated by the loss of mfg’ing as opposed to accepting that the transition to a service economy while successful at a national level is problematic for certain states that need increased fed. investment & support
@gregbradyTO It would also be good to get a straight answer from the council or attorney general if there is something in the criminal code that is constraining judges to restrict bail simply on the condition of danger to the public.
@gregbradyTO Does the media, judicial council or the attorney general not have access to the necessary data to determine whether each judge has a track record of releasing suspects of serious crimes that reoffend?
@globeandmail You’re ignoring impact on price! Foreign buyers tend to be less price sensitive in a blind auction model. If you want to reopen that cohort as investors you need to eliminate blind auction bidding above asking price.
@mattgurney In the interest of saving you a few hundred dollars of rental fees any chance you have another source lying around or can borrow from a friend like an old dvd player, game console or even a laptop. Just swap over the connection from the receiver to troubleshoot.
@TheAgenda @spaikin@PresidentPAO@PoliceAssocON@queensu@james@szrahim@cancivlib@constvarlo I hope we get clarity on the show by what she means by volume. Is she saying that at the moment the judge is deciding on bail for an accused violent offender and reoffender that they’re having to consider capacity at local prisons/jails? What’s the actual conflict?
@RorySmith@nytimes The old model was destroying league play across Europe. It basically amplified the exposure of the same top 2-3 teams in every country while the rest of the teams languished. Outside of a continental salary cap, which would never happen, they had to do something.
@globeandmail These fed measures effectively can only be helpful to households making well in excess of $200k per year and comfortable carrying a $1m+ mortgage. Not so sure this is helping the right folks and pretty sure this drives upwards pressure on pricing in a blind auction model!
