Today, I was in Damascus to get an update on how federal funding we secured is helping rebuild the Creeper Trail and infrastructure damaged during Hurricane Helene. This trail is a crucial part of the local economy, and I’m impressed by the resilience of the community and everyone’s work to rebuild the trail. We still have more to do, and I’ll keep working to ensure Southwest Virginia continues to have the resources it needs.

I just went down to the Senate Floor to try and pass a bipartisan bill to reauthorize disaster assistance for small businesses.
I’m deeply disappointed my colleagues blocked it, but I’m absolutely not stopping my fight for communities that were seriously hurt by Helene.
