🗳️ On August 17, the Socorro ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved calling an election for Tuesday, November 3. The Finance and Operations Advisory Committee (FOAC) and Budget Advisory Committee (BAC), made up of district, employee and community representatives, met throughout 2025 and 2026 to review district finances, cost-saving measures, funding scenarios and expenditure plans. Their work provided input into the district’s financial planning ahead of the Voter-Approved Tax Ratification Election, Proposition A, that voters will consider this fall. 🎉 Academic excellence continues in Socorro ISD! #TeamSISD increased its accountability score to 87, once again earned the postsecondary readiness distinction and posted STAAR/EOC growth across every subject area. With 18 A-rated campuses, 88% of campuses earning A or B ratings, and no D or F rated schools, these results reflect incredible dedication in our district.
