The Calgary Wranglers have added John Dean to their coaching staff as an assistant coach after eight seasons as head coach of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, where he became the longest-serving coach in franchise history and compiled a 247-178-49 record over 472 games.
Dean also earned international success with Team Canada at the U17 and U18 levels, where he coached current Wranglers defenceman Etienne Morin. At the OHL level with Sault Ste. Marie, he coached current Wranglers forward Rory Kerins and Flames forward Morgan Frost.
