This step reflects reform progress and focuses on the "Fundamentals" cluster, which includes essential areas: the rule of law, democratic institutions, fundamental rights, and public administration reform.

The EU will continue to support Moldova on its integration path through cooperation, expertise, and constant partnership for a stable, democratic, and prosperous future.

Public Association “Inima Nordului” from Ocnița was awarded the “Stronger Economy” prize at the 2026 European Union Awards for Civil Society.

With the support of the European Union, the association informed more than 600 people about social entrepreneurship, trained 40 young people & provided grants to 20 of them.

From car repair workshops & air-conditioning services to tailoring and wood processing, these initiatives create income, jobs & services closer to people.

The farm has recently started exporting cherries to the European Union and is cooperating with European partners to meet EU market access requirements.

More competitive local products mean stronger businesses, jobs and more opportunities for rural communities.
