#Bittensor needs to re-evaluate how incentives and emissions work in the ecosystem.
Moving from 64 Subnets to 128 might have been a mistake, but it can be rectified by putting mechanisms in place that reward function and utility over popularity (which is the current status quo.)
We have Subnets like Score, Resi, Minos, Distil, all suffering and bleeding, with investors that care about what's actually being built, suffering with them.
If Subnet number goes up to 256, this only gets worse.
It is human nature, and especially apparent in crypto, that people tend to follow green charts and price action more than anything else. Perhaps 20 - 30% people actually care about decentralization, and real world use cases. These are just facts, and that's a generous estimate.
OTF / @Bittensor themselves need to step in and figure out how we're going to reward Subnets that are working constantly to bring the world decentralized AI that will improve the quality of life.
I personally am a cypherpunk at heart, and love decentralization, but I'm not an absolutist either. If a certain amount of centralization is required as we grow, so be it. It won't be the end of the world, and sometimes a system needs a governing body to take the reigns - especially while we're still maturing.
Similar to increasing Subnets (especially without restructuring incentives,) removing APY completely from Root may also prove to be disasterous.
Not every investor is after high risk, high reward plays. And the reality is, that the Subnets / dTao is functioning as a casino right now. With no visible rhyme or reason.
A lot of investors would like to be able to simply collect dividends without the additional risk involved with diving into subnets. The price of $tao itself is volatile as it is.
Removing APY completely will not guarantee people rotating into subnets, but it might guarantee people not willing to live with confirmed risk without confirmed returns.
I really hope @const_reborn sees what I see.
Vocence product is live on the website!
We spent last week behind the scenes, shipping a wave of powerful new features. The result? A faster, more stable platform built to scale with you.
We've added noise remover, stunning new voices, launched a community voice contribution feature, kicked off playbook competitions, and made a ton of smaller improvements under the hood. we're building fast, shipping often, and we're not slowing down
Developers, we've got you covered. full API and SDK access are ready from day one.

There's never been a better time to jump in and see what Vocence can do.
Stay tuned — something exciting is just around the corner. You won't want to miss it.
Happened just now:
✅ Phase 1: Prove Beam orchestration works
✅ Phase 2: Performance
⏳ Phase 3: Scalability
⏳ Phase 4: Open it to the world
We just completed Phase 2:
10 GB transferred from R2 → Internet → R2 in 21 seconds on a distributed network.
Phases 3 and 4 are coming fast.
Beam SN105 #Bittensor
Just orchestrated a 128 node permissionless decentralized training run, in 5 minutes, for 5 TAO, via @IOTA_SN9
They can do this up to 100B param models.
Unbelievable.

The week is only half done and already:
• All-time fulfillment volume has grown nearly 5x
• The number of participating miners has doubled
• A baseline fulfillment model is now open-source, kickstarting model competition and lowering the barrier to fulfillment
Accelerate.
One month, 174.9M data rows collected.
Data Universe has collected 174,932,479 data rows within May.
All powered by #Bittensor and our dedicated mining and validating community.
We just hit a big milestone.
In only our first month in Bittensor, we have now generated over £82,000 in profitable revenue which means the first buyback is now set in motion.
10% of month-one revenue = $8,200 of token buybacks, to be locked in the treasury.
So excited to be the FIRST subnet to be able to do this in the first month of operating.
We are only just getting started...
Chutes Search is now powered by @desearch_ai (SN22), the decentralized search layer for agents and humans.
In their first public benchmark, it beat the centralized providers on overall score and ranked best of all of them at finding relevant sources. So we swapped it in to power our search.
Two subnets, one better search experience.
This is the Bittensor flywheel shipping.

We may be shipping fast but our users always come first. I received a frustrated email and immediately whipped out the laptop to fix the bug ASAP. I've already fixed it and notified the user.
