“Have you ever dined inside a police station?”
At Cafe Rista in Noida, that’s not just a thought, it’s an experience.
Walk in and you’ll find pastel walls, cozy corners, and a quirky wall that celebrates Bollywood cops you’ve seen on screen!
But beyond the posters and parathas, this café serves a deeper purpose: to break down the invisible wall between citizens and police.
The idea? To melt the barrier between “us” and “them.”
To show that behind the uniform is a person who shares your dreams, your fears, your need for a quiet cup of chai.
The purpose is to build informal and positive interactions between civilians and police.
“People often view police with apprehension, forgetting we’re simply people in uniform,” says IPS Preeti Yadav.
She spearheaded the public outreach part. Cafe Rista is her answer, building trust over tea and conversations over coffee.
So next time you visit, come with questions, come with curiosity, or just come for the food.
