The last chance to submit (up to 31 January) your abstract to the @IAL_Lichenology Symposium (#IAL10). Dear lichenicolous fellows, we have a wonderful place to present your results in our session – see details https://t.co/AKQF5UXsDa
#SuperSummerSchool ended this morning with impressive presentations from the four groups showing their accomplishments during this week. It was a fantastic experience and I hope we manage to show how cool forest modeling is @climateimpacts_ @Cost_BottomsUp @3DForEcoTech
@FayrnHawk@chriscant@BLSlichens@LichenicolousF In Ukraine, we can frequently find M. corallinus on several lichens on granitic outcrops e.g. Ramalina polymorpha (first and second photo). Also, this fungus colonizes other lichen growing nearby e.g.Protoparmeliopsis muralis or Aspicilia spp. (third photo).
@FayrnHawk@chriscant@BLSlichens@LichenicolousF That's exactly Marchandiomyces corallinus. This specimen is actively growing and form pink mycelium in the outer part of colonia. In the central part, you can see typical bulbils.
Tonight 1st Lichenicolous fungi chat meeting organised by @FayrnHawk@BLSlichens. Nice pictures @chriscant (Muellerella ventosicola on Ophioparma ventosa) and lichenicolous fungi on Verrucaria @VDarmostuk Thank you very much for this opportunity to learn with @BLSlichens !!!
Join @FayrnHawk for fortnightly zoom sessions on lichenicolous fungi, starting this Tues (2nd November). An excellent opportunity to chat and improve ID skills on this fascinating aspect of lichenology/mycology. More information via the link: https://t.co/ItBR3Dzwp0
A new Zoom-based chat group focussing on lichenicolous fungi will be starting on 2nd November. Join us to chat about, and to share information on, this fascinating group of fungi. PM me if interested. @BLSlichens@LichenicolousF@v_giavarini@LichenMoss
