🚨🫵 Does this describe you? 🤔 Read and find out! We’re at the edge of discovery, where clinical and basic research converge, and there is more to come- BOLO! 👀 https://t.co/2plEIQuA14
Proud to share with the #glia and #neuroscience communities my first publication in the lab of @gregbix in Clinical Neurosciences at #tulane! https://t.co/xH5a1o4y2K

Love it when rotation students go "rogue" and do cool experiments the PI had no idea about..in this case, visualizing some intriguing neuron-glia interactions!
Come check out our seminar on macrophage heterogenity in the CNS this Thursday at Noon CDT from Florent Ginhoux, Ph.D. at the Singapore Immunology Network! DM for the zoom link!
@JasonSynaptic I also LOVE my work (astute distinction @ampolter), every minute. Granted I'm not a PI yet, so there are big aspects of the job that I haven't experienced yet. Still, I'm confident my love for the science and of my people will always be there.
My last thread was pretty negative...but I just want to say that I Love my job (most of the time). Managing people and being invested in them adds extra stress..but when they succeed, it's amazing. Also..discovering new things about Nature is pretty Dope!
Anyone who thinks they can predict what properties the #OmicronVarient of #SARSCoV2 will have just by looking at the genome sequence is wrong. If we could do that, we would not have to do experiments. Amino acid changes have different effects when paired with other changes!
Question for #gradschool students in #neuroscience (or any #researchers): Do you ever want to READ a paper but don't have time to SIT DOWN to do it? Wouldn't it be great to LISTEN to the paper while you're driving, exercising, or walking the dog? I'd be interested to know...
@JasonSynaptic It is fascinating how some people have such remarkable immune reactions to the vaccines while others have no symptoms whatsoever...I had none on any of the three shots I've got thus far!
I'm happy to announce that @lauren_rosko from my lab has successfully defended her thesis on creatine and oligodendrocyte energetics. Lauren will be starting a postdoc in Vittorio Gallo's lab next week! Congratulations Dr. Rosko on your excellent achievement, we will miss you!!🙂
My first manuscript from my thesis work in the Bergles lab is now on bioRxiv! I would be so happy to get any comments or feedbacks from you!🥰 @JonLing_ @molinagian
My team has just updated our already large database of PhD/Graduate fellowships and graduate student research funding opportunities.
We found 200.
For each fellowship, we provide link, description, deadline, eligibility, etc.
