Labels and language are so important. Time for some priceless economics and a re-think from policy-makers and economists. What to do @sarah_bee13 @ruthpatrick0@tartan1314@TSIScotNet ??
I am "economically inactive" and have been for many years.
During this time I have been
- Caring for my Mum.
- Managing my multiple disabilities.
- Spending a high percentage of my income, which means I pay VAT and fuel tax.
- Volunteering when able for multiple organisations.

A question for the panel during their visit to Glasgow - you may or may not agree that Scotland becoming independent is a good idea, but why do you think the idea inspired so many people, and what could Westminster do to persuade more Scots to support the status quo #TRIPLIVE

Short thread on this story:
The PM has to be so careful with what he's saying here. The "work first" approach of his predecessors has failed. Poverty has not fallen while employment has risen.
We need compassion in the system, not stigma

🎗️ Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
Never has it been more important to use the word suicide.
Talking about suicide reduces the risk.
It might not be an easy conversation, but if you are worried about a friend or loved one ask them.
"Are you thinking about suicide?"
