A mistake that cost me years. I thought preparing was the same as progressing.

I read the books. Took the courses. Built the perfect plan. Waited for the perfect moment.

Meanwhile people with half my preparation simply started, stumbled, and figured it out in public.

Preparation feels productive. Very often it is just fear wearing a suit.

You do not learn to swim by studying water. You learn by getting in.

I eventually understood that clarity comes from action, not before it. The plan reveals itself as you move, never while you wait for it.

Now I start before I feel ready, on purpose, because ready is a feeling that only arrives after you begin.

If you are still waiting to feel prepared enough, stop.

The water is right there. Get in.
