Before a strategy moves to paper trading, every metric should answer one risk question.

No single metric gives certainty. Every metric gives a clue.

- Return: did it make money?
- Sharpe: was the return worth the volatility?
- Max Drawdown: could you survive the worst drop?
- Win Rate: how often does it win?
- Profit Factor: are winners large enough to cover losers?
- Expectancy: how much does each trade make or lose on average?
- Exposure: how often is capital at risk?
- P&L Curve: was the journey stable or carried by a few lucky trades?
