@cheripawn@PBVALVE I don't think it's worth sacrificing modern level of detail just for planar reflections, when ssr + cubemaps are good enough, especially given planar reflections are only really practical for a single flat surface. And even Valve clearly agrees, looking at their Source 2 games.
@cheripawn@PBVALVE It's not wasted if it's done well. And it's generally worth it to sacrifice planar reflections to make the rest of the game look so much better.
@abyss_chris@Axsilversurf@Tyler_McV hlx isn't known to be set for steam machine launch. That's just a guess. It almost certainly hasn't been canned tho, b/c we would've heard about that.
