While curriculum introduces students of their rights, duties and responsibilities, stories outside this realm invite them to think build on that knowledge, reflect and thus claim agency.

Through my work, I try to create spaces for our youth to think beyond the superficial, co-create understanding of social structures and in the process, free themselves from everything that stops them from dreaming and becoming all that they are capable of.

To celebrate Independence Day 2025, we read stories in a girls only school about a mother who pursues education and feels the same nervousness for her exams as our students, and about teenage girls who break stereotypes to play football.
We even read a Tamil book about anger and conflict resolution with 100% accuracy in an entirely non-tamil speaking/reading class!

I congratulate the Principal, SKV, Jwalapuri for being so deeply invested in the cause of reading. Her dedication to the cause shows in her school culture.

All in a Day's Work

On the occasion of the National Librarians' Day, 2025, we celebrated with learning through two workshops for our librarians from 100+ schools.
Together we co-created the meaning of what an ideal library would look and feel like, what we could do as individuals to achieve that, how we could ensure maximum inclusion in libraries and how we could make our libraries more than just repositories of books.
Together we dreamt.
Several senior librarians told me at the end of my session that it was the first time that the National Librarians' Day had been officially celebrated. They felt seen,heard, validated and motivated.
This only became possible with the vision of our worthy Director Education Ma'am, Ms. Veditha Reddy and all the senior officials whose support made this workshop a reality.
Such interaction paves the way for how our educational landscape and society by large will look in another decade.
Gratitude to OSD sir, DDE sir for their presence and invaluable encouragement. Thanks also to @inclusiveduniya for facilitating this very enriching experience.

When youth come together, real change begins. I am delighted to share that we saw a glimpse of this change while facilitating a cleanliness awareness drive in SKV, Prashant Vihar recently, where 100+ young learners became cleanliness ambassadors, identified cleanliness problems in their vicinity. From these investigations grew Solution Gardens - creative spaces where their ideas bloomed. These gardens became symbols of hope, action, and student-led innovation.
Through ideas, action, and connection, they pledged to shape a more considerate world where true transformation begins. Thank you @inclusiveduniya for helping build this understanding in our schools.
