@HowtoADHD As someone who recently got diagnosed with ADHD and who is very much trying to build a life and career in line with my values, I’d absolutely love that!! Also tools and learning are usually different in different contexts/application so it’s a novel & valid perspective 😊
People need to know the widespread nature of child maltreatment in Aust & its significant impact. Please share our Australian Child Maltreatment Study resources.
You can download & share our report, infographics, & the @theMJA#ACMS supplement at https://t.co/TMIIYM06li
@thedigitalyenta Easy carbs are always my gateway food. Toast is probably my all time fave but at the moment it’s either weetbix or dry instant ramen noodles. Sometimes just a glass of soy milk helps
Thanks to our brilliant contributors the dream of an internationally focused book on new research and practices in CACs has been realised. I'll be tweeting out chapter summaries (to my admittedly small audience of followers) heading towards release date (19th April).
Conducting research with children with disability is vital. Here are some of @SalRob310, Kristen Foley, @kylievfromSPRC Jala Burton @DrAmyMarshall Mel O'Donnell, Chris Brebner and my reflections on what we learned from our @ANROWS FDV research https://t.co/HUirrz7wAP
@NayanaPrakash1@AcademicChatter You’ve mentioned struggling with perfectionism/writing bad 1st. Weird tip but writing in comic sans helps a with that. I use a lot of highlighting & comments for bits I don’t like in my writing as well. It helps me move on mentally as I know I’ll come back to those bits
@JulieSLalonde Meds are definitely exempt but you should present them separately or tell them about it. I have a whole extra carry on as I have meds that have to be kept cold. I was so worried about travelling w/ them but I’ve had no issues through Australia, the US, and Canada

@erinkburrell If someone bought me new Paire socks then, yes, yes I would. Alternatively, socks with their or their pets face would also bring me much joy
@Literature_Lady@SarahDalyCJ To add to this, most students I’ve taught are lacking many study skills. I rely on study resources my uni produces but I also spend time explicitly breaking down skills so students understand that reading reports, writing, taking exams etc are skills that can be learned
@Literature_Lady@SarahDalyCJ I took psych undergrad 10 years after HS. I’d never read a STEM report before. I learned. So have all the students I have taught in 1st year psych. It’s challenging and it might take them a little longer than you’re used to but I promise it’s doable
1st session is being held tomorrow and registrations will be open until an hour beforehand. There are 7 other sessions open for registration until August 2!
@LMalloy I think discussion tops introduction for me but honestly they’re all up there. I vote we move from journal articles to videos where we excitedly tell people what we did and why as if they were our best friend
