My name is @hanitje I tweet films/books/TVs/fandoms/writing/culture/BLM/fanfic. Formerly VMars confession. Fandom vs Fanbase #BurntMarshmallows. I choose Fandom
The confession blog are now inactive permanently. Thank you for all the supporters of the #VeronicaMars confession blog after all these years (Fandom & Fanbase) Your passionate discussions are much appreciated. You can still read the old confessions on the blog. Thank you so much
“i hate a fic with too many tropes” not me, i hope there’s only one bed and they get interrupted when they’re about to kiss and then go through miscommunication before they get the /oh/ moment and i’m eating that shit up EVERY. TIME.
People who contribute nothing to fandoms will drive away artists and writers and then follow that up by complaining about how no new content is getting made, or how the community is growing smaller, like they didn't play a part in that outcome
I don't understand why ppl go out of their way to comment "I don't like this ship" under a post with a ship they dislike. For me, I either scroll past it or just block the person if it bothers me too much 😭😭
it saddens me when i see young people go “omg how did you guys manage school without AI 😭” like…. it’s not normal for you not to be able to summarize information. but hey, enjoy AI while it’s free i guess.
@motsdemaelys Girl you are on Twitter a platform owned by a Nazi who contributed hugely to the stance of facial and the deaths of millions and you are worried about book authors being problematic?!
support your fandom writers. comment comment comment comment. comments are worth more than kudos and hits imo. tell us what you like, what sentence spoke to you, or just drop a heart. but like support us writers…
i love fanfic prose. i love something that is imperfect and human and written for no other reason than the author has a passion for two characters big enough that they devote their time to creating. and if you don’t, get the fuck out of fandom.
You can be a fan of a show and point out its flaws. You can enjoy something and still criticize it. The idea of a fandom is that you are more than a passive fan who accepts things mindlessly.
hey so being in a fandom is optional. if you hate seeing certain ships or fics and can’t give people basic respect, leaving is a way easier and less annoying option than whatever this is
I'll never get the "oh people over the age of __ shouldnt be writing fanfic or be in fandom" cause one of my all time fav writers is over 40 and his works are lowk some of the ones that got me into fanfic in the first place
'old' people in fandoms are half of what make them what they are... sorry but they're funding ur interest and probably also the same people that are making your fics, drawings and fan made merch. that shit is not cheap to produce?? not to mention, its stupid to think that-
