I just heard someone say “maybe you don’t need more time to heal, maybe you need more experiences that show your nervous system a different realty”
And, yeah.
happy valentine’s day! make sure you also shower yourself in the love you so effortlessly give to others. treat yourself like you treat the people you care for ❤️
i’m a huge advocate for reaching out and letting people know when they cross your mind. if spirit places them on your heart then respond to that with intention, action, and love.
I have no energy to hate anybody. I literally have no space in my heart to carry that toxic bitterness around. I either love you, wish you well, or hope you heal.
It’s always the small gestures that get me. Gently brushing your hair right, slinging an arm around your shoulders, paying attention when no one else is listening, remembering the things you say, immediately dropping a topic if it’s uncomfortable, interlocking fingers when-
you have not encountered all the people who will love and show up for you the way you do for them btw! and crossing paths with them often happens at the most unexpected times. they exist and they’re waiting to meet a person like you, too
I love the way water heals my soul. my nervous system calms when I am close to ocean waves, and my mood lifts whenever I’m in a warm bath with magnesium salt and rose petals. especially when I’m sick, the way I feel so serene when it’s enveloping me does wonders.
I hate thinking “okay let me show less love” “let me not care soo much” I hate that feeling. I should never have to feel that way. My purest form is loving hard, caring hard and nurturing hard. That’s just how I am.
creating space for vulnerability: ‘I’d like to understand your thoughts and feelings better. when I express myself, it’s not an attack on your character: it’s so you can understand my thoughts and feelings too. I care about your emotions & I’m here because I trust you with mine.’
usually, people who has the biggest hearts & purest intentions are the ones who experienced the worst treatment from others. they know & understand the feeling of being rejected, betrayed, alone, left behind, all the painful treatment from other people. +
never regret the love you have shown people. if you showed up in someone’s life with nothing but gentleness, kindness and compassion - it’s not on you if they couldnt return it. the fact you’re abundant enough to express love loudly and unapologetically is beautiful. don’t change
pick your friends up from the airport, help them move, help them with their problems, cook for them, watch their pets when they aren’t, get them medicine when they’re sick, talk to them, sit with them, hold them. love your friends while you can and do it loudly.
idk who needs to hear this…but being able to communicate your desire for closeness, being able to sustain deep, healthy and long-lasting connections, being comfortable with intimacy and not fearing vulnerability does not make you needy: it makes you emotionally available.
happy valentine’s day - remember that you are worthy of care and kindness. repeat this to yourself, believe this about yourself. don’t listen to your mind when it tells you you aren’t - allow love in when someone wants to pour it into you, too. 🫶🏽
