Today students held hands as their planes were shot down in Dunkirk... but they LIVED to WRITE about it. The power of VR to teach EMPATHY and PROPEL WRITING astounds! #VR#MixedReality#WritingtoLearn#edutwitter#VrinEdu
Managed to create space within a busy week for Modern World History students to explore the relationship between art and politics. We ventured through impressionist paintings by Monet, expressionist works by Van Gogh, Surrealism by Dali, and Cubism from Picasso! @TheRHSRiders
@jesush1979 Sadly, it’s the Vive controllers that won’t pair to headsets so we can’t even get in to the devices. They worked at the end of last year, but this year, I can’t get in to the headsets to update them. It’s so devastating.
How do we manage #VRinedu when we only have 7 headsets for 26 kids? Let's do a rotation where one group works with @MetaQuestVR and the others learn about digital music tools! #Steam
Had the opportunity to take Art students to the Lascaux Caves in France in #VR before they launched into creating their own cave paintings! Amazing work by @TheRHSRiders students in Ms. Allen’s class. @mergeedu
@Microsoft365 Oh, man, I checked it out and want to know how to get FresnoUnified as part of this super secret preview group. I have loads of thoughts on how to improve Loop and use it daily.
Today students were transported to Verona, Italy for a little world-building exercise before reading Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare would be surprised by how we experience his works today!
@PaulHamilton8 I really liked @eyejackapp for my AR booktalk for students. Ease of use was fantastic and trigger images linked to videos can be so versatile.
Google Cardboard (or the more durable Merge Goggles) are ABSOLUTELY an affordable gateway to virtual reality in education. It has consistently impacted our students in Fresno.
Added some REAL MAGIC to our Hogwarts classroom with @Curiscope#AR science posters. The interactivity really makes this Astronomy Tower “pop!” @TheRHSRiders
I am struggling to replace Google Expeditions. I would be happy if Google Arts and Culture OR even Google Street View offered VR options, but, alas, Google has sloughed off VR completely. HELP WANTED.
