I gave a talk to 150 undergraduate students from universities all across ASEAN on feminist methodologies for research and service learning. It was truly an incredible experience. I believe the biggest take away was not to think of oneself as a saviour but a learner and listener.

My latest paper on risk, potentialities and women’s worlds is published in @GPCjournal . The paper claims risk as an analytical category to comprehend women’s everyday worlds that enables them irrespective of patriarchal control.
Today at IEx fair, on Gender Matters Everyday booth (pic below), a student started to discuss intersectionality with me and the problem with mainstream inclusivity rhetoric. I must say it was a moment where I wanted to do a little dance 💃
Super excited to share my article on risk: a feminist keyword in @FeministJournal. The article argues and demonstrates risks taken by women in the everyday, irrespective of un/known dangers. The ethnographic work is based in the city of Banaras, my fieldsite.
