BLUNDER! Two local trains on the same track on Central Railway at #Mumbai CSMT.
A Central Railway spokesperson confirmed the incident and said they are investigating the matter.
A train coming from Badlapur was taken on PF 5 instead of PF 4 which was occupied by another local.
The local trains have been backed and now movement is restarting.
The PF 5 to 8 were blocked and movement was stopped from 3.18pm
Now the backing is complete and the movement is starting.
There was a signal between these two local trains. CSMT Internal Home for Suburban Platforms was in red condition hence the Motorman stopped the train.
Also the distance between the two trains was more than 130 meters.
It should be called Thane-Bhiwandi only. After 8 years of inauguration by the PM himself, only Phase 1 is being completed. No progress on Phase 2, sadly

Here's the context: Our AUM share is growing (people with more money trust us), but our demat share is shrinking (fewer new accounts).
The people with money are sticking with us, but many others aren't opening accounts with us 😬. Most likely, the newer and younger, and people from tier 2 and 3 towns, are probably investing elsewhere.
The challenge is that once people pick a platform, they rarely switch. And we have constraints that our competitors don't:
We won't advertise.
We won't offer account-opening incentives.
Broking is cyclical by nature
So, how do you grow when you can't play the traditional acquisition game? The obvious answer may be "content," and we have significantly improved on it, but it's hard to measure the impact.
