An independent, judicial, Supreme Court-monitored inquiry into the alleged use of pellet guns, tear gas canisters, and brutal lathi-charges is essential. Those found responsible must be held accountable and punished.

Students should never be met with force and intimidation for raising their voices. Their concerns and demands cannot be silenced.

Home Minister Amit Shah must answer. He cannot evade the truth — why were students met with such brutal force, intimidation, and alleged mistreatment when they were simply raising questions about their future?
