I’m running a 30-day video editing challenge starting tomorrow 🎬
But this time I’m focusing on the fundamentals that actually make edits hit:
Pacing. Sound. Storytelling. Colour. Composition & design.
Less guessing. More intentional improvement.
Day 1 begins Monday.
I'll be posting daily progress.
Cooking some edits in my school library 🔥
Something about editing in a quiet place just hits different.
What's your favourite place to edit when you're not at home????
Most video editors aren’t failing because of skill.
They’re failing because they edit like technicians, not storytellers.
Clients don’t care about effects.
They care about attention + emotion + retention.
If your edit doesn’t make someone stop scrolling or stay watching… it’s invisible.
Fix the story first.
Then the effects.
Day 11/30 of becoming undeniable as a video editor 🎬
Phone unboxing video result. 📱
Everything you hear was sound designed by me.
→ Whooshes
→ Package tear sounds
→ Button clicks
→ Subtle movement SFX
Most people won't notice the edit, And that's the point.
When sound design is done right, nobody says, "Nice sound effects."
They just feel that the video is satisfying.
