Allow me a personal reflection on how Dr Bhyrappa first entered my consciousness.

Decades ago, I watched 'Vamshavruksha' performed as a play in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.

Sitting in the audience, watching those characters wrestle with tradition and duty, the tension of that performance stayed with me.

I bring this up because the stage is not merely a setting in my memory; it is the central metaphor of what I wish to place before you today.

Even if the noise dies down, #Canadian - #Indians will be affected for an extended period of time.

Adani's servants in BJ Party are extremely scared looking at Congress's strong position in MP, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram.

Trevor Noah was going on a Gandhi Bazaar pure veg thindi walk today. His guide was a simple elderly lady in a cotton saree.

They came to the National College by metro. This helped them avoid the gridlocks of South End Circle and parking issues in Gandhi Bazaar.

They started with carrot halva in Mahalakshmi Tiffin Room. Delicious, but both were shocked that UPI payment was not accepted. The irony of cash only payments in the birthplace of UPI was great comedy fodder for Trevor's next gig.

Next, they went to Vidyarthi Bhavan. Trevor was underwhelmed by the masala dose, but impressed by the waiter's skill in balancing 20 plates. He was a bit offended when he asked for sambhar and the waiter scoffed at him. He left only a 5 rupee tip. He would send his archnemesis Atul Gupta to eat there.

Next stop: Roti Ghar. It was too early for naan curry. So Trevor had a solid mosambi juice. Simple lady had a fruit salad. It reminded Trevor of Bunny Chow in the roadsides of Paarl and Bloemfontein.

Then, they went to Srinivasa Brahmins Bakery, famous for its eggless Black Forest pastry. Trevor was forgetting yesterday night's debacle.

Trevor did not fancy filter coffee. Grudgingly, the simple lady took him to Cafe Coffee Day in Gandhi Bazaar.

All in all, Trevor would carry home pleasant memories of Bangalore after all.
