Congratulations, dear authorities. You've managed to turn a residential neighbourhood in Bengaluru's "IT corridor" into a case study on how not to manage urban waste.

While the rest of the city talks about smart cities and sustainable living, the residents of SOBHA Dream Acres get a front-row seat and front-door smell of an ever-growing mountain of filth, just 50 metres from where their children play and their elders take their evening walks, as can be seen in the video.

Senior citizens, who should be enjoying peaceful retirement, are instead battling respiratory issues and infections. Children, who should be breathing clean air and building immunity through play, are instead exposed daily to a toxic cocktail of decomposing waste, flies, and stench. Adults are falling sick with skin allergies, throat infections, and gastrointestinal issues that trace directly back to this negligence.

And yet, despite multiple formal complaints lodged with the Ward office, BBMP/ GBA helplines, and local representatives- this dumpyard remains untouched, un-cleared, and seemingly protected by the one force stronger than any civic law in this city: bureaucratic apathy.

🔥 Questions, @CitizenPulseX Demand Answered, on behalf of Sobha Dream Acres, residents:

📌Why has this dumpyard not been cleared despite repeated, documented resident complaints?
📌Which specific department/official is accountable for solid waste management in Ward #48, and what concrete action has been taken to date?
📌What is the exact timeline for permanent removal of this dumpyard and restoration of the site?
📌What preventive measures (fencing, CCTV surveillance, signage, scheduled waste collection, penalties for illegal dumping) will be implemented to stop recurrence?
📌Who will be held accountable for the prolonged health risk imposed on residents, especially vulnerable groups like children and senior citizens- due to this administrative negligence?

📢 Our Demand: @CitizenPulseX, formally demands, on behalf of SOBHA Dream Acres, residents:

🔘 Immediate site inspection by BBMP Health & Sanitation officials
🔘Complete removal of the existing garbage dumpyard within a stipulated timeframe
🔘 Permanent preventive infrastructure to stop future illegal dumping at this site
🔘 A written response with a clear, time-bound action plan, shared publicly for transparency
🔘 Accountability fixed on the responsible ward officials for the delay so far.

This is not a request. This is a demand for the bare minimum civic dignity that every taxpaying resident is entitled to.

We trust that "urgent action" will, for once, mean something more than a template reply. The residents of Balagere are watching, documenting, and will continue to escalate publicly and persistently, until this dumpyard is history.
