The man who discovered the Titanic, ocean explorer Robert Ballard, has set out to find Amelia Earhart's plane. Can he do it? Don't miss the premiere of Expedition Amelia, Sunday at 8/7c on National Geographic.
I did not think @HillaryClinton named her. I was pretty sure whom she meant, but then Assad-supporting @TulsiGabbard outted herself. Now I know who must have paid for Tulsi signs in Iowa, because she sure doesn’t have poll numbers for the debates. #RussianAssetTulsi
I love hotographing this show, and I often learn things. This episode made me check out the Gutenberg Bible when I went to the Tolkien exhibit at the Morgan Library in April. I’ve now seen 3 of the 4 Gutenbergs mentioned in the episode.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has told CNN she hoped the decision to bring her 3-month-old baby to the United Nations General Assembly would "create a path for other women." https://t.co/JAUfvCklEl
President Trump says he would have pushed Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination through the Senate two weeks ago if he were responsible for the proceedings https://t.co/Q3NaU6oV6w
My friend Raya Yarborough had a cd-release show last night at The Hotel Cafe with lots of original music an a lovely encore of Herman’s Hermits “A Kind of Hush.” It was very different from the one I heard Peter Noone do two weeks before at the Canyon Club.
I now know why I did not graduate first in my law school class. Too many 1960s British Invasion lyrics cluttering up the space in my brain. @T_inkTheatre & I had a blast tonight singing along with @peternoone (no mark?) at the Canyon Club. #NeverTooLateToHaveAHappyChildhood
Friends on a panel about #WomenShowRunners. I prefer to work with Nikon, but camera phones can do well in a pinch, if you know the limitations. The first photograph I had published in @WaPo was taken with a fixed focal length, 40 year old camera. Phone has zoom. #KnowYourCamera https://t.co/ceTzydM5t2
With @feliciaday, @bergopolis, and @GillianHorvath at the Women Showrunners panel at YouTube. #SDCC2018 missed a bet by not having this panel. Think the room won’t fill? Wrong. People need role models. Two of the 8 women worked in n Agents of Shield. Two are wimen of color.
My colleague @jbmoorephoto made a powerful photo at the border. Maybe it will inject a modicum of humanity into the Trump Administration, but I doubt it. John is one of the best, and I’m glad he and others like him are out there showing the truth. https://t.co/pYes03tsSZ
Fifty years ago I was so excited about RFK's run to be a candidate and then devestated by his murder. For those with the chance to vote today Do It. Pick a humane caring candidate who values our Constitution, our civil rights, civic duty and our diversity. #vote
Jonathan Mangum & Stephanie Miller on @GoFactYourPod Episode 10. I met Jonathan several years ago, when Wayne Brady brought him by to meet my husband @LenWein at #SDCC. Wayne was a big fan of Len's & showed us photos of his daughter cosplaying Storm, one of Len's X-men creations.
Late last year, @frankdecaroshow made an appearance on @GoFactYourPod. I first remember meeting Frank when he was on What's My Line Live on Stage, which ran at the Acme Theatre in Hollywood for several years and was a blast. J. Keith Van Straaten hosted & Jim Newman directed.
Tonight, Sharyn Murphy & I caught a solo show by @jeremyclyde1941 as the intro to his Bottom Drawer Sessions #4, which releases next week. Great show.
Tonight's performance by Peter Asher and @jeremyclyde1941 at @McCabesGuitar brought the delight you can only get listening to old friends tell stories about each other, rather like the nights I sat up until 3 listening to @LenWein & George R.R. Martin reminisce. Left me grinning.
Had a wonderful time tonight indulging the 15-year-old me by going to see Jeremy Clyde perform with Peter Asher at @McCabesGuitar and I'm delighted that I got tickets for Jeremy's second L.A. appearance tomorrow night in Altadena.
