The continued detention of @Succes_MASRA in Chad is beyond appalling, and his release should be immediate.
The jailing of opposition figures undermines prospects of democracy and transparency in a country that has clamored for change. His case is being closely monitored.
@AleshOfficiel@AleshOfficiel: En plus des « voyages à l’étranger », détestent-ils aussi, les « véhicules des étrangers », « appareils des étrangers », « boissons/nourritures des étrangers », « habits des étrangers »…? Tout ce qui vient d’ailleurs est vraiment mauvais, n'est-ce pas ? 😂

Why is democracy important to you?
NED and the World Movement for Democracy hosted democracy movement leaders from 16 African countries in Lusaka, Zambia. Here's what they said democracy means to them. How about you? #InternationalDayofDemocracy
Congratulations to NED partner @thierrym52, who was recognized with a 2022 @Academie_be Award. "Empire du Silence" sheds light on impunity for human rights violations in #DRC and advocates for perpetrators to be brought to justice. https://t.co/U1X8uo6JFF

NED remains committed to the Nigerien people’s aspirations to determine their future. The citizens of #Niger should be the ones to hold elected leaders accountable on insecurity and development. Niger’s vibrant civic life will help restore its path to constitutional democracy.
We welcome this joint statement. Better late than never. But beyond words, we need strong actions alongside our people. From April 2021 until now, about 2000 Chadians have lost their lives not because of terrorism but because a part of armed Chadians massacres those who are unarmed. The peak of this being October 20, 2022, with the same method that is now being brought to the villages, targeting the South.
