@WSJ Come to downtown Portland, Oregon. Bring all your great ideas but don't forget the 82nd Airborne Division because you will need the latter much more than the former.
INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF NETFLIX TONIGHT.
This 1 hour Stanford lecture by Joel Peterson will teach you more about negotiation and getting what you want than most people learn in years.
Bookmark it and give it an hour, no matter what.
@BrianFeroldi Dollar cost averaging works and has never been easier with brokerages allowing fractional share ownership. A great strategy for retail investors. I highly recommend this book on DCA and why it works.
@slamwontmiss This is common advice I routinely hear from rich people I know. Sounds arrogant, but they are sincere in wanting to help "the less fortunate." It's also rock solid financial truth.
@saylordocs This is common AI advice and also awful message for people to learn. Hard work will always be a ticket to advancement. AI can make some laborious chores easier, but humans will still do the heavy lifting. Provocative messages such as this are designed for clicks, not success.
This is the most important book I have ever read. I saw this book in my high school library and I have owned a copy ever since. Every American should read this book and devour its message of hope, prosperity, and the ability of capitalism to enrich the world.
Upset about inflation? Blame Congress and the Federal Reserve for causing it. Inflation is their baby, caused by too much fiscal stimulus (spending) and loose monetary policy (cheap money). This isn't rocket science. This is basic Econ 101 macroeconomics.
@Kalshi_Finance It’s either buy, sell, or hold. Sells are reserved for obvious bad situations. That leaves buy and hold. 60% with a buy rating is not unreasonable given the real lack of choices.
@TheEconomist The Economist, which has been wrong on every economic forecast and social prediction it has made in the last twenty years, has made yet another prognostication. Ho hum. ZZZZZZ.
MILTON FRIEDMAN:
“KEEP YOUR EYE ON ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY: HOW MUCH GOVERNMENT IS SPENDING, BECAUSE THAT’S THE TRUE TAX.”
“IF YOU’RE NOT PAYING FOR IT IN THE FORM OF EXPLICIT TAXES, YOU’RE PAYING FOR IT INDIRECTLY IN THE FORM OF INFLATION OR BORROWING.”
LEGENDARY WORDS.
