@MBTA The bus came (After an over 30 minute wait), but there were so many people waiting that the bus was packed and still had to leave many people behind
@PunGridDoc@fiagirly The straight zones don't affect overtaking. Everyone had access to them always. They just increase the efficiency of all the cars by allowing them to run higher downforce in corners without getting draggy on the straights.
@MBTA Currently on a train that's stopped and we have idea what the conductor is saying to update us. Either the loudspeakers on car 1830 are broken or the mic at the front of the train
@MBTA We were just told that red line trains will not be going past Harvard because of technical problems at Alewife. What on earth are you talking about?
@emilysweeney@himitsucb@MBTA@BostonGlobe Absolutely. It looks like the storm exposed some very fundamental problems with either the trains or the system. The end of day commute also featured disabled trains, angry crowds, trains suddenly leaving service, and 30+ minute waits. Feel free to DM if you want more details
@MBTA Update: After over 2 hours of commuting, I've made it back onto a train. (Physical altercations are breaking out from crowding) Many are still on the Kendall/MIT Platform waiting over 90 minutes to get onto a train
@MBTA Update, next train is also at capacity and was running several blacked out cars. Overall wait will now is over 75 minutes in Sub-Zero temps and dangerous crowd crush.
@MBTA URGENT: The situation at the Kendall/MIT Station is getting dangerous. With the amount of people on the slippery platform, people are struggling to not fall onto the tracks
