@KayabagaArielle This bill needs to be withdrawn, along with Bills C-22 and C-34. These are major violations of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and should never be passed into law. You should be ashamed of yourself. It’s extremely cringe behavior. I regret my decision to vote for Mark Carney.
@MelissaLantsman I will never support anyone who attempts to pass a bill that spies on what people do online. Forcing VPNs and other private encryption companies to collect data on users is unconstitutional and likely violates the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
@TeslaDragon69@RobinhoodApp No, it will be crypto exclusive for a long time. They bought @WonderFi to enter Canada and speed up regulatory requirements, but it will be a long time before their brokerage comes here.
@SamCKx Yeah, no one believes this. You can read the bill and it shows it allows the government to request people’s personal information, and once they force ID verification on everyone, you aren’t anonymous anymore. It’s fucking disgusting. Stop gaslighting people.
@MarkJCarney@liberal_party Just saying, if you attempt to pass C-22 and C-34, I will never vote Liberal ever again as long as I live. Attempting to spy and intrude on people’s privacy under the bullshit excuse of protecting children is fucking disgusting.
@ItsDeanBlundell You’re a retard if you think these bills have anything to do with protecting children or the average Canadian. I voted for Mark, but I regret it now that he’s pushing things like this that are borderline unconstitutional and an intrusion on personal privacy. Try again.
@its_pickletime@AyeZee Are you retarded? You do know that Kick, or basically any company that does this, doesn't handle the ID verification themselves, right?
@binance Yet you guys left Canada for no reason. Ontario is the only province with issues. You could have, and still can, operate legally in all of the other provinces.
@JustBins I promise you I will straight up never use the Internet if this becomes a thing in Canada. This does not work and we know that because you can look at Australia.
@xdncolonthree They’re targeting VPNs as well lol. It’s why @windscribecom is going to leave Canada. They’re trying to force VPNs to log user data for up to 12 months.
