TVK Exposes TVK: Budget Proves the White Paper was Fake!

TVK White Paper vs TVK 2026-27 Budget:

State's Own Tax Revenue (SOTR): The White Paper criticised the previous DMK government's 19% growth projection as unrealistic (claiming 8% was factual). However, TVK’s own budget projects a 17.79% growth, indirectly validating the DMK's estimate.

Total Revenue Receipts (TRR): The White Paper claimed the DMK's Rs.3,44,575 crore estimate was inflated. Yet, the TVK budget projects an even higher Rs.3,50,027 crore, an increase of Rs.5,452 crore over the "inflated" figure.

Revenue Deficit: The White Paper warned the actual deficit was around Rs.90,500 crore due to hidden expenses. The TVK budget, however, shows a deficit of only Rs.55,775 crore, leaving a massive Rs.34,725 crore unaccounted for.

Capital Expenditure: The White Paper criticised the DMK's Rs.59,562 crore allocation for infrastructure as being far too low. Paradoxically, the TVK budget reduces this critical fund further by Rs.2,577 crore.

Conclusion: Ultimately, TVK used its White Paper as a political charge sheet against the DMK government, rather than a commitment to presenting factual financial data.
