99% of collective agreements are reached without a strike.
Collective bargaining and job action are not only Constitutional rights, vital in a democracy - they work in practice.
Congrats to CUPE members and Westjet on reaching a negotiated settlement.
A WorkSafeBC Inspection of Dexterra's SkyTrain cleaning operations has resulted in six outstanding safety orders after officers identified multiple health and safety violations affecting workers across the Expo and Millennium SkyTrain lines in Vancouver.
We see far too many examples of government systems & bureaucracies operating with rigid, cold indifference to the people they’re supposed to serve. What should be at the centre, especially with a service like HandyDart, is human dignity.
I was pleased to speak to @GlobalBC & will continue to advocate for Mr. Cretain.

One of ABC's most shameful moves was to eliminate the living wage for Vancouver workers. We need a council that cares whether the people who work here can afford to live here.
People who work for the city should be able to live in the city. Under ABC, many city staff can't afford to.
OneCity Vancouver commits to bringing back the living wage.

I love being out in community with our neighbours hearing directly from them about their hopes and dreams for our city.
It’s clear people are angry at Ken Sim’s casualty cruelty and are looking for real change.
Thanks to everyone who joined us and took the time to chat!
