Eight learners from seven schools in Limpopo will represent South Africa at the Invention Convention China [ICC] International Division 2026, becoming the only learner delegation from Africa to participate in the international Science competition.
The delegation comprises learners from Patrick Ramaano, Nngweni, Kutama, E.P.P. Mhinga, Mbilwi, Shingwedzi and Thengwe Secondary Schools.
They will present three innovative projects addressing some of todayβs most pressing global challenges.
Their participation has been made possible through the Adopt-a-School Foundation, a partner entity of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation with support from Buffalo International Logistics.

We built a humanoid robot that listens to you speak β in ANY of our 11 official languages β and replies back in that exact same language. Automatically.
No settings. No menus. It just knows.
Speak isiZulu, it replies in isiZulu. Speak Xitsonga, it replies in Xitsonga. Speak Afrikaans, it replies in Afrikaans.
This has never been done before in South Africa.
Not a chatbot. Not a script. A physical, thinking, listening, speaking robot β built from the ground up by a South African, for South Africans.
This is FuzeπΏπ¦.
@ClaysonMonyela Mr Monyela, everyone now knows this, that "xenophobia" is a code name for entitlement, when they're entitled to South Africa and even want South African processes being cut to meet their entitlements. No South African gets moved by being labelled xenophobic anymore.
There was this one time when I saw a picture of a young man crying after graduating and he wore just a plain Tshirt and jeans , his picture touched my heart and I didnβt know then that we share the same surname!
I looked for him until I found him and Israel funded me to have a graduation celebration for him at a Hotel in Umhlanga, where he got to dress up and his whole family was transported and booked at the hotel to celebrate this day! π₯Ίβ€οΈπ«Ά

Shaun dropped us off at our hotel and told us that one of the bartenders at this hotel was his neighbour 20 years ago when he arrived in the US. They share the same birthday- same year too!
Later on I go to the bar. I'm not thinking about Shaun and the barman. There were several men serving drinks anyway. π π π . The one serving me asks me about my accent. I tell him. He goes "Oh I had a South African neighbour once. We were born on the same day! " I said "Shaun?" The barman was so happy and asked if Shaun is still in real estate.
"Yes! That's what he told us...and he plays golf twice a week!" I was happy to know so much about Shaun from our Uber ride! And I got a free drink from Joe, the barman, originally from Ohio!
