We have locked many elderly people away to die alone and miserable. Many denied the warmth of their hand being held, the last chat and joke with a grandchild etc.

@LizHcks any advice on this? I booked my mum a ticket flying into Sydney on Wed, specifically because I didn’t want her to go through HQ in QLD, my home state. Now she may have to potentially be hauled into 14 days HQ without warning. How can that be legal?

Life is not normal in WA. Tens of thousands of people remain locked out of their own state, separated from their families. There is a severe skills shortage across everything from hospitality to nursing, mining, teaching. All due to the hard border.

I totally disagree with the proposal to just chuck #strandedaussies under the bus again for such a long time, esp as we’d miss a window re seasonality and minimal waning.
