H.E. Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia, held discussions with H.E. Mamta Murthi, World Bank Vice President for the People’s Vice Presidency, reaffirming shared commitment to advancing Ethiopia’s human capital agenda.
The Minister underscored Ethiopia’s strategic focus on enhancing quality education, improving healthcare delivery, and expanding social protection systems to safeguard the well-being of citizens. He expressed appreciation for the World Bank’s longstanding support in promoting skills development, inclusive growth, and resilience.
Vice President Murthi commended Ethiopia’s efforts and reiterated the Bank’s commitment to Ethiopia’s Health Compact, the expansion of safety nets, and progress toward Universal Health Coverage.
