@japan_nobunaga Otoshi (the little food they give you at the start) isn't free, and its mandatory.
Also almost no Japanese restaurant or izakaya will give you water unless you specifically ask for it. And even then, the water typically comes in the tiniest of cups.
@suincel@TW0HEADEDBEAST This but unironically. A couple years ago, before it was released in the west, my first exposure to Uma Musume was seeing a middle aged Japanese man playing it on his phone on the train communte after work.
@DioneSteel@314p159 thats not even close to true
Japanese people have rice in about 2-3 meals per day
Id wager the average american eats a hambuger less than weekly.
@capsulebutt "In the wild" as if she isn't everywhere, only 2nd to Shohei Ohtani. She has a super high approval rate from the Japanese people, so why the hate? Are you being forced to stay in Japan against your will?
@Comrade_Waluigi Whenever I talk favorite anime I always mention Legend of the Galactic Heroes tied as my #1. When I said that when living in America, nobody really knew what it was. But living in Japan, whenever I say it most people know the anime, and some even have it as their top as well!
@BuenoForMiami@MitraHispana Besides just that, Americas intervention stopped Japans ongoing raping and pillaging of Korea & China.
Also their economy & technological progress was much better off after Americas intervention, albeit the economy is in a bit of a slump currently.
@BuenoForMiami@MitraHispana Living in Japan, so I have lots of insight. Of course the bombings themselves didn't improve Japan, but America's intervention and continued presence in and around Japan has definitely been a net positive for Japan. Most Japanese welcome America's military as a deterrant
@Eris1294@flex1_@trumpcockvore@LilithLovett Big disagree. The people dying in the war is unrelated to the bettors; would be dying anyway. Squid game is occuring for the bettors, and they participants wouldn't be dying if it weren't for the entertainment of the bettors.
