@sottaku_app I just registered to sottaku today and I wanted to know if I should learn few kanji before starting sottaku?
I can read kana, but not kanji. But since the quizzes here has kanji too, how can I answer them if I can't understand the questions and options?
As @airkatakana mentioned, instead of learning kanji separately, I started doing the core 2k/6k anki deck and learning kanji along with vocab.
But how do you remember all the kanji? There are so many of them and some of them sound different when used in different words.
@qilin_x03 Ohh cool.
I thought of reading VNs, but felt my vocab is too less rn to start.
I was thinking of learning a couple hundred words before starting to read stuff.
Do you have any good resource to find beginner reading materials?
@airkatakana@GammaSheets@0xluffy@yacineMTB cool.
i am moving to tokyo in a month for my job and that's why i started japanese :)
for someone who can read hiragana and katakana and has gone through 7/8 chapters of genki 1, what do you recommend to do next?
@airkatakana@GammaSheets@0xluffy@yacineMTB So you mean by reading the sentences in the vocab deck, I will learn kanji from context?
I have learned hiragana and katakana, but haven't learned any kanji yet, so I don't know much about it.
@airkatakana@GammaSheets@0xluffy@yacineMTB Can you pls explain what exactly you mean here?
I thought I will have to learn kanji separately. How will I understand it from the vocab deck if I can't read kanji?
This was heartbreaking to read!
Thanks to @alec_dilanchian I got an opportunity to work with @_buildspace during @_nightsweekends S4.
I had a lot of fun working with the team alongside @no_philterz and I will always cherish those memories!
Thanks for everything :)

I have some tough news.
Today, @_buildspace is closing.
I wanna be real about everything.
Itโs not because of investor pressure, runway, internal drama, monetization, or any of those reasons.
The actual reason is a bit more personal.
I wrote a letter about it below.
I know this company means so much to so many people. I hope after reading the letter, you can understand.
Ty for the five best years of my life.
No matter what happens, ily.

If you are working with AI, you should definitely check this out. In a few simple steps, you can easily integrate powerful AI tools in your application.
And they have got a wonderful supportive team working on it.
@jrfarr Please do something for solo builders from India.
Stripe stopped accepting new accounts from India and so we can't use bank payouts in lemonsqueezy.
Devs from India, what are you using to accept payments (both domestic and international) in your apps?
@stripe stopped accepting new accounts in India and due to that now I can't do bank payouts in @lemonsqueezy since they use stripe for the payouts.
Also I have been hearing about @saltpe_ and that you can accept international payments using it.
Has anyone used it and any idea if it can help in my case?
