My 20s definitely taught me there's no point in doubling back on anything. No friendship, not a relationship, not a Job. Once it has ran it's course, move accordingly. It's your job to take the lesson, add it to character, and move on.
When I get quiet, I’m not trying to manipulate anybody. I’m tired. I’m tired of repeating myself, tired of arguing, tired of explaining and tired of feeling like I’m asking somebody to care. Sometimes silence is just what happens when you’ve said everything you had to say.
Full transparency... I don't think l've ever experienced someone being deeply in love with me. I've been liked. I've been wanted. But I still dream about the kind of love where someone chooses me wholeheartedly every single day.
Especially when you’re a good person. They love how it feels to be genuinely valued by you until receiving your energy requires responsibility and accountability.
Y'all are terrified of initiating conversation after conflict. I'm not your mother. I'm not whatever ex that used to blow up on you. I'm an adult that wants to hear you, be heard, and heal what's happened between us. Silence is not a resolution.
