Since that day Israel has expanded its borders a slice at a time.
In 2005 9,000 Israeli colonists were removed. All 4 borders of Gaza remained under Israeli control, as was Gazan money and they still got bombed.

On Oct 7th 2023 the IDF shelled its own people. 3 years on & no investigation into that yet.

By Oct 12th the border was resealed. The IDF did not have to do what they did.

Unarmed civilians in Gaza are being bombed and shot from afar in their 1000s.
There is an entire state, support by allies doing this to real people, most of whom weren't even alive the last time an election was held.
