From politicians to the crypto space, most public narratives are just lies driven by financial motives.
The thesis is simple: Everyone is lying to you for money. It’s a narrative that never runs out of material and aligns with the current state of the world.

Full Story below
“锄头” was a beloved 陨石边境牧羊犬 (merle Border Collie) owned by Chinese travel influencer Guo (郭先生, also known as "瘦猴" or Skinny Monkey). He bought the puppy for around 2,000+ RMB in 2017/2018 on a street in Shangqiu, Henan, when it was just 3 months old. He named it “锄头” (Hoe) because it often accompanied his father in the fields doing farm work.
Over nearly 8–9 years, “锄头” became a net-famous dog with over 1 million fans across platforms (especially Douyin). Guo documented their adventures as a “one man and one dog” travel duo. They self-drove across many parts of China, including Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Yunnan, and even completed the sacred Mount Kailash (冈仁波齐) kora twice together. “锄头” was described as gentle, friendly, never aggressive, and very attached to Guo.
In May 2026, Guo was on an international/overseas self-driving trip (he had been in Turkey) and left “锄头” (then about 8–9 years old) with his parents in Xiguo Village, Liuhe Town, Ningling County, Shangqiu, Henan, as usual. The dog’s usual routine was staying near the family’s three-wheeler while his father worked the fields.
The Thief's stole and sold the dog who was later confirmed dead after being sold to a restaurant and processed to be eaten
Police opened an administrative case. Guo submitted evidence of the dog’s high value (as a famous travel companion with commercial/media worth, fanbase, etc.) and is pushing for criminal charges (theft/dog slaughter). In China, theft often needs to exceed a certain value threshold (~2,000 RMB) for criminal prosecution, so he’s providing proof of “锄头”’s worth. He has publicly stated he will not accept any private settlement.
The story went viral, sparking widespread anger, discussions about pet theft, the dog meat trade, rural attitudes toward pets, and calls for stronger animal protection laws in China. Many see “锄头” as family, not just property.
