Before you direct all your anger at Kasongo, remember one important fact, Kalenjin and Luo legislators initially declined to append their signatures to Riggy G's impeachment motion. It only gained momentum after Kikuyu MPs joined the bandwagon.

The painful truth is that the political crisis facing Mt. Kenya today did not begin elsewhere. It was enabled from within.

If an impeachment motion against Kasongo were tabled in Parliament today, how many Kalenjin MPs do you think would dare append their signatures to it? Their leaders protect their own political interests without hesitation.

Meanwhile, our own people are always first in line to sacrifice one of their own for short-term gain, positions, and political favors.

History will record that before outsiders could weaken Riggy G politically, his own people had already opened the door.
