Bitcoin is an intergenerational project in cyberspace. The chain began before most of its current participants arrived, and it will continue after they are gone.

Decisions made now will be evaluated by nodes run by descendants we will never meet—the system already anticipates them. Each block is not only a ledger entry; it is a contribution to structures that will outlive their contributors. Each active validation is a small act of stewardship, the meaning of which compounds because continuity cannot be casually erased.
