Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Migration Farah Karimi met today in Vienna with @EURightsAgency Director Sirpa Rautio to discuss the FRA’s role in supporting EU Member States in upholding their human rights obligations.

Farah Karimi continued the day with a meeting with Dr. @SRKariJohnstone, @OSCE Special Rep. & Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, to discuss how to better identify and protect victims of trafficking. Strengthening co-operation to support the most vulnerable.

Chair of the Migration Committee Farah Karimi, MPs @GudrunKugler & @KHadjiyianni, visited Jugendcollege Advanced Ost in Vienna, supporting young refugees (15–25yrs old) with language courses & vocational training, managed by the City of Vienna & the Public Employment Service.

PA's Migration Committee, led by Farah Karimi, met online to discuss situation in the US, with some raising human rights concerns. @RepJoeWilson outlined border security & efforts to deport migrants who've entered unlawfully, stressing that immigration must be legal & orderly.

The Ad Hoc Committee on Migration continued discussions today on EU migration policy at @MPI_Europe, an independent think tank. They addressed strengths and weaknesses as well as sustainability of proposed reforms.

@HackedOffHugh Same happened with me. Child froze when immigration officer asked her if I cook for her (I hate cooking 🤣). I calmly explained to her that they were looking for cases of child trafficking. And that was it.
