I get how you feel; I had a friend of mine do the same thing. Eventually, I helped them become more comfortable with their blackness- and now they make black characters again. I know we get treated like shit but I still proudly wear my character as black because it makes me happy. I don't always see amazing representation for our race so I try to be the change that I want to see.
