It’s not good enough, @NYCMayor, to be horrified. We pay you to protect all New Yorkers, and this doesn’t happen with statements. It’s time to change the rhetoric and find your way as a mayor for all citizens, and not just some.

I am horrified by the assault at Central Synagogue during services today. I can only imagine the pain and fear an attack like this, during Shabbat services, causes for the congregation and for Jewish New Yorkers across our city.

Every New Yorker must be able to observe their religion without fear of violence. This despicable act has no place in our city, and our administration will do everything in our power to keep Jewish New Yorkers safe.

The alleged perpetrator is in custody and there is no known ongoing threat in or around the synagogue. We are in close contact with the NYPD and will share more information as it becomes available.

ICANN has announced a one-time US$ 1million contribution to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) to support its long-term sustainability, operations, and global participation.

This contribution follows the WSIS+20 process, through which UN Member States agreed to establish the IGF as a permanent forum, and reflects ICANN’s commitment to the multistakeholder model of Internet governance.

A long process has come to a successful end, but the journey continues! Happy to have been part of it since before #WSIS in Geneva! Bulgaria is a firm supporter of the multistakeholder model of Internet governance, maybe because it adopted it even before the model was defined.

Spring in New York City. I wonder if @nycgov would rename @CentralParkNYC to Liberty Central Park? Different parks in NYC have names, but this one is just “Central Park”?! Naming it “Liberty” would be also complimenting the Statue of Liberty.
