@devans_43@Team_English1@EdexcelTeachers@EngChatUK This is pretty much what we are aiming for next year - prose covered by Christmas between teachers and then the same focus as you have but with the poetry a bit more spread. We’ve always done Shakespeare in y12 but keen to leave until y13.
@EdexcelTeachers AL Lit teachers, how do you structure the teaching of the course? Our teaching pairs each take sections of the 3 papers but we are planning to share the teaching of the prose texts next yr - has anyone done this? #teamenglish@EngChatUK@Team_English1
@MrAlexRiley@Team_English1 The Comedy of Errors is a fantastic play to teach at KS3. The students can find the plot a bit complex to begin with but once they get the gist of the mistaken identity they really enjoy unpicking it all and exploring character traits of the twins x 2.
@RoyWatsonDavis New to Twitter and have just looked you up as I reflect on colleagues I admired ... no time to chat about this now you are in full retirement though?!
@PearsonTeachEng Would a focus on Shakespeare's use of the Elizabethan belief in witchcraft to present dramatic tension be a sufficiently open (and focused) question for IGCSE Lit coursework?
