Excited to present my research poster today @CAN_ACN "Psilocybin Modulates Reward-Driven Learning"
Using probabilistic reversal learning + computational modeling with Serena Wu and Rose Bagot we find effects that depend on uncertainty and prior experience
We used rabies virus 👾 to map how #psilocybin modifies long-range circuits 🧠, revealing network-specific reorganization that we didn’t expect.

Tomorrow, Sept 19 | 3:30 PM, at #CCNP2025 (https://t.co/dOYCGmIDMH) in Montreal, I’ll be co-chairing the symposium “Psychedelics & Psychiatry” 🍄🧠 with @swubat.
We’ll explore how psychedelics reshape brain circuits & behavior, bridging preclinical & clinical perspectives.
For us, #OpenScience also means investing in sharing our resources and techniques with the community through courses like the Summer Workshop on the Dynamic Brain.
Happy #OpenScienceWeek!
The best part was the hands-on experience and teamwork—studying neural signatures of how the brain familiarizes with stimuli over time. Visualizing the data, I saw neural dynamics bloom into flowers 🌸 & spirals 🌀 across brain areas—so exciting! 🧠✨
Recently wrapped up two incredible weeks of intense team 🧠 science on San Juan Island 🌲🌊 @ the Dynamic Brain Workshop by @AllenInstitute. Easily the best learning experience I’ve ever had—huge thanks to the organizers, and deep gratitude for the community, ideas, & teamwork 🙏
My lab with @MontrealRobots was honoured to present our recent research and explain how machine learning enables robotics that will drive innovation in Canada. It was a pleasure getting into the details!
Looking forward to presenting my research on Excitatory-Inhibitory Dynamics in Adaptive Decision-Making @ the 'RNNs Making Decisions' workshop @ #CCN2025 later today (https://t.co/RnlDbDfy9R) and a poster Wed, Aug 13, during the main conference.
🙏 @jorgefmejias@molano_mazon
We start strong on Monday at 15h, when we organize the Satellite Workshop 'RNNs making decisions' together with @molano_mazon. Speakers @summerfieldlab, @VeronicaChelu, @seanfw and others: https://t.co/ciIwpkm5lc
Planning to attend #CCN2025 in Amsterdam next week? Interested in recurrent network models of decision making? Then join us in our Satellite Workshop on Monday at 3pm. We'll have @summerfieldlab@veronicachelu and many more! https://t.co/ciIwpkm5lc
@0xQuasark The conference has a non-disclosure policy given that part of the research presented is unpublished. For publication-ready content see https://t.co/xIN6R7BF3c
Had a fantastic time at the Neurobiology of Psychedelics GRC. Only a week yet feels like it could have been months. New community, new lab, novel and diverse ideas and perspectives, unpublished brand new research, a lot of growth. Easily one of my favourites #GRCPsychedelics
Dispatch: The Neurobiology of Psychedelics Gordon Research Conference (Part 1)
200 psychedelic scientists met in Rhode Island to discuss the field via the first Gordon Research Conference on psychedelics.

The first #GRCPsychedelics was referred to as the Woodstock of conferences. Feeling extremely lucky to learn from pioneers of psychedelic neuroscience, and get to know so many of the legends and new scientists who are making discoveries in this exciting field.
Excited to attend Neurobiology of Psychedelics GRC this week! Looking forward to deep dives into the mechanism of action of psychedelics and how they modulate neuroplasticity, cognitive flexibility, and adaptive decision-making 🧠🍄
