I missed #TLM23 this year for this unbelievable opportunity to educate the University of Rwanda #gastroentrology fellows #IMresidents.

@Froedtert@MedicalCollege recently achieved our 1,000th liver transplant in program history! Proud to be a part of a team with such dedication and passion.
My opinion is many health problems after transplant our the business of a transplant professional. It’s our drugs that cause the metabolic syndrome, CV disease, kidney failure, cancer.
we should screen/address these things at every visit: referring to others when appropriate.
.@ajsilverstein16 - the author of "Sick Girl" and "My Glory Was I Had Such Friends," who has lived for 35 years thanks to two donor hearts, calls for changes needed to improve immunosuppressive drugs necessary for organ transplants. https://t.co/hhUIJzqHg1
#IMBRAVE050 results encouraging but:
Study primarily viral hepatitis, non-western pts. Surgical resection was used in pts with multifocal HCC and vascular invasion.
Still survival benefit in the non-viral patients. Need data for NASH/ASH and consider IO toxicity.

@MySportsUpdate Applause at one game and then shoved at the next. Symbolic to how we are praised for saving a life and then in the next breath how we are abused and overworked by the healthcare system and sometimes even bullied by our patients.
We aren’t overly active on Twitter, but I have a great feeling you are about to know us for all we do for access to care in ELSD, liver cancer and liver transplant in the next few years. @MCWSurgery @MCWCancerCenter @Mcw_Medchiefs
